I have been asked to do a logo for my site and this image is the result.

The chest's body and lid are booleans. The iron bands and nails are primitives (chamfer-boxes). The teeth are deformed cones (each individually modelled) The tongue and slime have been built using Claystudio. The deformation was built by using two ffd's. The textures are from images from the net for the ground and the wood (but I can't tell whom to credit...) The remaining textures are handmade. The structured surfaces are using displacements instead of bumpmapping.

It took some aftertouching to get an impression to fit to old pocket-cameras of that time.

The image won a Platinumaward at 3DCafe (www.3dcafe.com) in middst October 1999 and had the highest votes in October's gallery competition of 3D Web (http://www.cthree.co.uk/3dweb).
