"The object deformation does not work!" |

Applying object deform-modifiers like (eg.) ripple, bend, bulge pp. works on a gizmo. The gizmo is a sub-geometry that you can modify to fit your needs without the need to modify the model (mesh) itself. The gizmos' modifications are translated to the object. Further, the gizmo can be modified independently from the mesh, eg. animating a ripple on a morphing cube. Many times I read about problems concerning this gizmo-modifying like "the tube does not bend smoothly." Try increasing the vertex-count ie. by raising the number of divisons in the basic geometry. The amount of vertexes has a direct influence in the result of any deform-modifier (and - on the other hand - rendering time). |
