By car from Istanbul:  
1. South of Marmara: 
From Kartal -or Darica-ferry to Yalova - on to Bursa - Balikesir - Edremit (E87) - Kuecuekkuyu - coastal road (27 kms) to Assos (see maps 1+2

2. North of Marmara  (fastest!):  
Motorway to Tekirdag (E84) - at Kesan left to Canakkale (E87), but try the ferry at Gelibolu first! Both ferries, from Gelibolu to Lapseki and from Eceabat to Canakkale go every full hour. South on E87 - at Ayvacik  on 17-51 the last 20 kms to Assos (see maps 1+2 and list1


By car from Izmir:  
E87 north to Edremit - Kuecuekkuyu - coastal road (27 kms) to Assos  (see maps 1+2 and list 2)

By bus from Istanbul: 
Busses leave every hour for Izmir. Hop off at Ayvacik, one hour south of Canakkale. From there regular dolmus to the village and harbour of Assos (map 2
